I've said for awhile now that I want the guy who looks at the mess the Saints situation currently is, but has the confidence (arrogance?) to believe "I HAVE THE TOOLS...I CAN FIX IT!" (cue the clip of Jeff Spicoli bragging on his old man's "ultimate set of tools")

Anyone who looks at our current situation and withdraws their name....lacks the intestinal fortitude to do what needs to be done here. I don't want them! Not NOW....not EVER! If you can't stand with me at my worst, you sure as hell don't deserve to stand with me at my best.

I'm underwhelmed with our remaining choices, but that doesn't mean they're not solid hires. They're all still standing, in play, and haven't withdrawn. I was underwhelmed with the CSP hire in 2006, but I'd say that turned out pretty damn well. I'm fine with being underwhelmed if it means we've found the next HC to invoke the 2nd golden era (I would argue the 3rd...Dome Patrol was the 1st, IMO) of Saints football. Fingers crossed!

And what if they look at us and think " It's not that much of a mess" They have some younger quality players and some vets. They had a MASSIVE amount of injuries , especially on offense last yr and when they were healthy we pretty dominant. They had bad coaching especially on the DL.

Yes they have some cap issues ,but they don't have any really big FAs to resign and they have a GM that will go out and get me who I want even with the cap issues. They have a QB on pretty much the same level that I had in Dallas. I can turn this around and I won't feel the owner breathing down my neck
