What is the ceiling of any of the new head coaches, if Mickey Loomis is retained as GM
No person in the front office creates a ceiling for the teams success. What those people DO absolutely can create a ceiling. Loomis has not been a bad GM for his entire tenure with the Saints. He's been here 22 years and has been with the team during it's best ever era. But he's been pretty bad the last 5 years. I believe he didn't manage the Sean Payton situation very well. I believe he's done a poor job with building the roster through the draft. I believe he's done a terrible job with the cap. That does not mean he can't fix those things. He can do a better job with the next coach, he can do a better job with building the team with drafted players and he can get the cap in order. He has to choose to do those things, but he's not incapable and there is no ceiling with him because he has shown he can be part of a group of executives and coaches that can get the team to the highest place.
