Actually it worked out fine for Washington as they moved the picks and ended up drafting Champ Baily (arguably the best player in the whole draft class) as well as getting Lavarrr Arrington in the next draft.
It was the Bears that got the short end of the stick with Cade McNown.
Another one of the picks we traded away was used to draft TE Billy "Timex" Miller. Billy Miller came back to New Orleans in 2006 and played great with Brees to help us rebuild. I always called him "Timex" because he would get absolutely blown up and still keep ticking.
Ricky was a solid player and we had already traded our 2nd round pick for Eddie Kennison. Of the moves we made in 1999 that move was worse as I would have rather had Dre Bly to pair on the defense with Ricky on offense.
