Build the Saints' 3-4 Defense

There's nothing good about base 3-4 defenses anymore than base 4-3 defenses. Both get schooled more consistently than defenses built to disguise blitzes and coverages.

Niners, Ravens, Rams, Chiefs... the one thing they have in common is constant disguises in their blitzes and coverages. Disguises are a bit easier to do in a 3-4 if you have the right personnel. But on the flip side of that, 4-3 disguises tend to have a better-performing front line.

So, I'd like the focus to be shifted more toward disguising the defense well.
With that in mind, stacking each level of the defense with an impactful player is the best way to have a versatile defense, because as you stated a hybrid scheme gets the most impact on the field than a traditional 4-3 or 3-4 so scheme wise if we do not have the talent to execute it does not matter what base defense we install
