I just gravitate to these savant-like storylines - Rainman, Phenomenon, Temple Grandin, The Accountant, A Beautiful Mind, Pi and I'd throw Hannibal Lecter in Silence of the Lambs in that category.
Same same .. ive only seen Beautiful Mind once, at a preview screening- absolutely loved it but for some reason ive never felt compelled to watch it again .. Rain Man on the other hand ive seen so many times im almost bored of it.. still in my Top Ten though .
Also, though not really ‘savant’ like per se- my favorite film of like the last 15 years is probably Silver Linings Playbook.. just really spoke to me .
