Thought Exercise: Assemble the coaching staff if Kellen Moore is HC

He already was Assistant HC and STC. It'll be tough for him to go back to that after being interim, he could, and I'd hope for it as our ST's unit was the best thing we've had the last few years but there's no reason for him to stay after being spurned as a potential HC twice.
That's a good point. Hadn't considered it, but you're right.

Rizzi is on record that he WANTS to be a HC someday, and he's had a taste of it. I think he did a decent job with what he was given to work with mid-season, but his "magic" seemed to fizzle out. There's still a chance that Rizzi is our "fail safe" candidate, and I can honestly say I'm curious what Rizzi's plan...his vision...would look like. I like the changes he made from the moment he assumed the IC mantle. But there's only so much you can do mid-season....it's your job to "stabilize" and "refocus" the team, not to completely change direction mid-stream. What would he do if he had an entire offseason to implement his plan?

I'm fairly convinced that Rizzi isn't the BEST option, but I also think he might be a GOOD option, given the hand we're holding. But you are correct....if he's been spurned 2x by the organization, no sense in sticking around for a 3rd opportunity. If a HC is still his goal, his best option is to "regain visibility" with an endorsement from a high-profile HC respected throughout the league. His best option is likely to pair up with CSP again for the Broncos.

Side note....I can't tell you how freaking IRRITATED I will be if CSP wins a SB for the Broncos, with all the coaches, staff, and players purged from the Saints.
