You are Ill-informed about restructures. You do NOT restructure a player this year with the plan of releasing that player next year. You would simply leave the contract alone, or release the player.
You do realize we have to get under the salary cap right? That is the only way to do it. Take a big hit this season in Carr, restructure everyone else to get cap compliant, then next offseason you can release anyone else you want to.
