Of course there's always the chance that Rizzi wants to build his own staff if he were to get the opportunity, but I feel like if we were a week away from knowing and Rizzi was our backup plan, they would be telling these guys to hold on another week potentially. Yeah, I think an offensive minded coach would be ideal just because if you hire a coach like Rizzi, just like in Detroit if the team performs well you're replacing OC and DC almost routinely. It's not a recipe for success. There's a reason only the Ravens (outside of Lions) have abided by that model and that's because on defense no matter who the DC is they have a playbook that they school everyone in...so nothing truly changes on that side of the ball.
