I don't know man. There seems to be quite a few of our veteran players, even on defense, that believed in him and showed him encouragement on the sidelines. He was showing enough in practice that he hurtled Haener to start when Carr went down. He also improved dramatically from when he was thrown into the fire to when he started more games later in the season. He made a lot of really great throws, led the huddle well, and wasn't panicking. I don't think anybody is saying give him a $200 million contract, just see what he can do with a full offseason of development and a real chance to compete for the starters job.
