Saints Execs love Spencer Rattler per ESPN’s Matt Miller

I honestly don't think Rattler is part of the equation. I could see the Saints picking up Jeanty and having a top 10 running game this season. And if you combine that with Carr, the Saints are a lot better in 2025 then anyone expected. I think Moore drafts a QB in the later rounds and lets him sit behind Carr. Maybe Rattler beats the draft pick out, but I don't think Rattler impacts the draft at all.

The entire point of this thread is that Rattler is part of the equation. Some in the Saints front office really like him. Will that stop them from drafting a QB? Probably not, but that really depends on how good Moore and the front office think Rattler is. They aren't going to draft a QB that they think isn't as good as Rattler.

Jeanty is not going to instantly get you a top 10 running game this season. We don't have the OL for that and I don't think he's a generational talent. He lacks the quickness and top end speed to be a generational RB and it's not clear that he will be able to break tackles in the NFL the way he did against Mountain West defenses and that is he true skill. He's a very good RB, but he's not Barry Sanders, Marshall Faulk, or LT. He's not even Saquan or Bijan Robinson.
