I saw an article from analyst (Dan Orlavsky?) who speculated that the "perfect fit" at QB for a Kellen Moore offense is Kyle McCord. But I'm not clear on WHY he's the ideal QB for Moore? Why not Jaxson Dart, for instance?
I'm not advocating for any particular QB, other than NOT Ward and HELL NO on Sanders...I just don't see them as living up to the lofty expectations of where I think they'll be drafted. Not even at #9. In a perfect world, maybe Moore looks at film of Rattler and thinks "we're good....I can mold this guy", but I'm also a realist and think Moore will want HIS guy. Just not sure who HIS guy is, or even what he WANTS in a QB. He's coached Dak, Herbert, and Hurts, and had success with each....but that's 3 very different QBs! He's also coached Cooper Rush and backups with Chargers & Eagles, but I can't get a handle on Moore's PREFERENCE. He's on record as saying you adapt your offense to your personnel...so maybe Rattler IS his guy? But assuming not, WHAT does Moore want/need/look for in a QB? If it's not McCord (and why would it be?), then WHO?
Honest question....anyone care to posit a theory?
