Kellen Moore expected to be Saints coach [Feb 10 — Fletcher Mackel: mostly done deal; intro press conference to be later this week]

Exact same. I actually have a bit of excitement for the draft and free agency to see how Moore shapes this team and how Loomis supports him to redeem himself after one of the most bone headed head coaching hires in my lifetime
We also have to support him for what he DOESN'T do. If the team doesn't sign anyone of note, that is actually a good thing this year. If he doesn't keep a popular player, that is actually a good thing this year. If he doesn't take a popular prospect at 9 and trades back for more picks instead, that is actually a good thing this year. If some of his decisions seem questionable for the roster today but make a lot of sense for the cap, we should support him. If this off season, outside of the coaching hire, looks like a total disaster then he is probably doing the right thing for 2026 onward. I will be the one defending him for doing these things.

If he restructures Carr and kicks the can again to sign someone like Chase Young, I'll be on him like I have for the last couple of years.
