Demario Davis: "Saints are on the cusp"

IMO, when a team has injuries, the backups should be able to fill in and play decent. The drop off in the level of play from our starters to our reserve players is bad. If the Saints do use the draft in the next couple of years to rebuild, they could be back as a solid team in the NFC South. In the recent years, the organization takes two steps forward and 3 steps back with having an old and aging roster. They will also have a tough decision to keep Carr. Don't think he's the answer for the club.
I want a QB that can also run. I'm that camp that doesn't want Carr back. Winning 7-9 games doesn't do anything when needing to stockpile some talent. Could the Saints get to 10 wins with great injury luck? Possibly, but they're not gonna compete with the more elite teams in the NFC. I'm not saying tank, I'm saying if we're gonna be bad, I want to see being bad go somewhere.
