IMO, when a team has injuries, the backups should be able to fill in and play decent. The drop off in the level of play from our starters to our reserve players is bad. If the Saints do use the draft in the next couple of years to rebuild, they could be back as a solid team in the NFC South. In the recent years, the organization takes two steps forward and 3 steps back with having an old and aging roster. They will also have a tough decision to keep Carr. Don't think he's the answer for the club.

They do, but anytime you have a lineup full of backups, you’re going to have problems.

No team has a full two-deep of good players. Backups are meant to come in and compete with starters, not fellow backups. We had too much depth on the field at once, much of the time with a backup QB on the field…that’s a kiss of death scenario for any team.
