Kellen Moore expected to be Saints coach

Ya. I can't see it. Whenever we saw him in a game or heard about him in practice, he was excelling. So what exactly is it that's causing him to remain on the practice squad?

Reports were always that he was struggling in practice, especially this year. It was a surprise when he flashed in a few games last year and it moved expectation to an unreasonable level. And most of the plays he made were broken plays, not plays where he ran a route and beat his man. There is a place for that on a team, but it's behind the guys who know the plays, run good routes, and play special teams.

He got cut because he could not learn the offense and was running wrong routes in practice. And the Saints needed roster spots because of all the injuries and he was the bottom guy on the 53 who did not play a snap of special teams. Hard to keep that guy on your roster when he does not play special teams and those are the reasons no teams claimed him on waivers.

Payton put him on his PS because he has experience in his system and he loves tall project WRs. And he picked him up like 8 days before we played the Broncos so some of it was probably to get inside info on the Saints new offense which is something Payton often did when he was here. He stuck around because like I said, Payton loves tall project WRs.
