It’s always a war of attrition. Even the teams people envy, like the 49ers, are doomed when they get a ton of key injuries.

Teams are not stacking full two-deeps nor is there some gigantic disparity in how much our backups are paid compared to other teams.

It’s about who gets hurt and when. We stay reasonably healthy, we can beat virtually anyone, assuming Moore is the real deal, which is another major key.

In the conference round of playoffs this year, they had the following teams: Bills, Chiefs, Commanders and the Eagles. These were the top 4 teams at the end. Even if the Saints were healthy, they would have probably not made it that far into the playoffs and maybe not even made it at all. Sorry, but we just don't have the roster to compete against the elite teams. I appreciate your optimism, but the Saints are not there yet. Not even close.
