Sorry, but being able to read defenses and go through progressions has to occur in college. Practically nobody gets to the NFL and learns how to do it because there are so many important things to learn and the game speeds up to much.

What?? I've watched every game he has played and watched his Syracuse games multiple times. McCords offensive line struggled to protect him and he had to either make lightning quick reads or he had to feel the pressure and move to make his throws. He has arm strength, anticipation and touch. Watch his fade throws alone. You don't throw for 4800 yards and 34 TDs in college and for Syracuse without studying film and reading defenses. He did not have the luxury of SEC O-linemen or his Ohio State talent in Syracuse. McCords worst attribute is tied to his strength...and that is that he thinks that he can make any throw. That sometimes results in picks, but it results in big plays and TDs more times than not.

I'm not sure where you derived your analysis from, but you clearly didn't watch all his snaps. If McCord isn't successful in the NFL, then none of this years QBs will be. He is the most pro ready out of all this year's QBs.

By the way, Laquint Allen, RB, is sneaky good. Talented runner but very talented receiving RB.
