Self Checkout

self checkout is great for few items only. i don't really mind using self checkout (even for a lot of items), but it works great if you have 5 items but you have to wait behind 3 people with a buggy full of stuff in the regular line.
if most chains didn't have shirty management, they'd be able to hire and keep enough cashier's.
most chains have upped their pay but from what I've heard, they don't want to give many full time, and i just don't understand that..
The Walmart near me has 15-20 self-checkout lines. On any given day, half of them are out of order and there are still lines. I asked an employee why these self-checkout counter are always down. She said "we don't have enough staff" I replied I thought that was the point, to reduce staffing needs. She said "Look at that line. Walmart won't fix anything as long as there are people waiting in lines"

She's right you know. I usually go to Aldi where there is almost never a line, and if there is, all the self-checkout counters are working. Piss on Walmart.
