Self Checkout

I hate stores that have 10-20 registers but only 2-5 are open with cashiers

That means there are long lines at those registers and the self checkouts

I can’t believe that I’m suggesting this but if the store knows that the are never going to have more cashiers just tear down the unused registers and put in more of the damned self checkouts

The Spouts by my place never has enough registers open. There will be 20 staff on the floor doing various things and the line backed up for miles in both the self-checkout and the only open manned register and they do nothing about it. I try to avoid going there as much as possible but there are a few essentials I get there that I can't find at the other grocery stores.
