Jets will release QB Aaron Rodgers per Jordan Schultz and Jay Glazer

I understand the appeal of super stars, but bad teams take on players like that at the ends of their careers. He's still productive, but for how long?
I think he can give you at least 1 more season as a go-to guy. I’d really want him around to teach the younger guys, but admittedly the price tag is too high for someone to just be a mentor. That said, i already feel that way about a couple of players we already have on the roster…Cam Jordan being one.
