Eagles defensive talent & coaching…..

Don't read to much into it. The Eagles are a very good, sound team that don't make mistakes. They played solid football. But the Chiefs beat themselves more then the Eagles beat the Chiefs. I dunno how many of you recall Andy Reids time in Philly. But fans constantly grew annoyed with him because his game planning and play calling would drastically change in the playoffs and they would get knocked out. That happened last night.

For some odd reason, Reid really did NOT want to dink and dunk his passing offense. He kept calling vertical plays from the very beginning of the game and would not stop. This utterly fueled the Philly defensive line and they started pinning their ears back and dominating the Chiefs Oline. Reid should've changed to more of a west coast playcall. Instead he double downed on the vertical long plays. Look at this way, they weren't do any screens at all. As soon as they started doing screens in the 4th qtr they started moving the ball very, very well, but it was way to late in the game. And Philly wasn't even in a prevent yet.

I can honestly say it was one of the worst game planning and play callings I've ever seen from Andy Reid.

This highlights how important game planning and play calling are for an Oline to be successful. Chiefs have a good Oline. They're a little weak at left tackle, but that interior Oline has been the best in the NFL for a couple years now. Yet last night, they looked worse then ours. Play calling is more important then loading up a team of all-stars at every position.
Seriously? The Eagles D beat KC like no other team has beaten them since the Mahomes began. I've never seen Mahomes get whipped like that. They sacked him and had him under pressure with just four linemen the whole game. The Chiefs didn't beat themselves, they got that butt whipped. It wasn't even close; the better team won.
