That's because Mahomes 1st read was never there, the Eagles coverage deserves tons of credit as well because they were pinching the 1st option and PM could never get to his 2nd read because he didn't have time...and we all know why.....

So they took the running game away, the short passing game away and there was no or little time to go deep.....what gameplan is going to fix that?

They didn't take the short passing game away, because those plays were rarely called. You know what else wasn't called? Rollout plays. Another staple play of the Chiefs offense that is common.

Like I said, Reid play called a very different game then what's always worked for the Chiefs. I'm not trying to take anything away from the Eagles dline because they were great, but they also weren't do anything different, unlike the Chiefs who were for some very odd reason, doing a lot different straight from the beginning.
