Sean Payton gives his opinion of Kellen Moore (Potential Saints HC Job)

The man has been gone for going on four years and the Saints are in the same cap situation that they were in when he was still here.

Don’t you think that the cap situation would’ve improved after three offseason’s if he was the one at fault?

The Saints haven’t changed their salary cap strategy at all since he’s been gone, so perhaps that’s the reason Payton is no longer here. It’s possible that he didn’t want to be a part of these shenanigans that were only acceptable while Brees was still the QB. That’s right, Loomis and Co. kept this foolishness going by bringing in Derek Carr and sticking to win now mode with him at the helm.I didn’t say Loomis isn’t to blame. He had a chance to hit the restart button when Payton was gone but wanted to keep the window open by signing Carr. That was a huge mistake. However if you don’t think that Payton caused the backlog of dead money and continuing to kick the can down the road you haven’t been paying attention.
