Kellen Moore expected to be Saints coach

Haven’t the Saints told the sports media Moore’s hiring will be announced “later this week”? Don’t get me wrong the sooner the better but now it’s just a formality. Eagles owner Jeffery Lurie said the team will be looking for a new OC. So I doubt an announcement will happen today but if it does great.

I’m pretty sure Moore has his Coordinators set. He was making calls and talking to potential coaches before the Super Bowl. After the announcement we should quickly hear of multiple hirings.

Eagles fans are extremely unhappy. A few want Saints draft picks for “tampering”. The funniest (and saddest) forum post I read was that they would be willing to forgo the tampering charges if the Saints would guarantee that Mickey Loomis would accept every future phone call from Howie Roseman.

I don't recall anyone reporting that the Saints said that. There is speculation that it will be announced this week unless it unexpectedly blows up, but that's just kind of logical with the Super Bowl over and everyone knowing Moore is our choice.

As far as other hires, they will have to do the Rooney Rule interviews before any OC, QB Coach, or DC is hired so that might take another week or so. But we could hear about some position coaches before them and there will be "rumors" about the other coordinator jobs and QB coach.

And Mickey unfortunately already appears to take every call Roseman makes to him.
