Mike Garafolo: Saints are set to make a decision on Derek Carr within the next few weeks; likely to have multiple suitors if released

Well, we do know that McCoy, a team leader, was there at the Saints facility to greet him when he walked in for the first time. And that's just who was captured on camera, there may be other players who are around and have welcomed him.

Now, Erik and others may just so happen to be here while Derek is on the west coast, but that's just to say that there was nothing to stop Derek from being present when his new head coach was introduced.

He’s in the building now and has been over the last couple of days and the first player that we’re shown to greet him is Erik McCoy. It would be very easy to end the speculation that Moore doesn’t want Carr if it wasn’t true.

Instead we’ve got Darren Carr behaving like a child on twitter as usual (he’s also somebody who’d know). The fact Carr wasn’t here at all during Super Bowl week either tells me they’re working out a way to move on.

McCoy is likely just there with the trainers and docs getting treatment; which I believe is the only way players are currently allowed in, aside from contract stuff. Doubt he was there as part of some sort of welcoming committee gesture.
