The Falcons heir apparent was a rookie that went 1-2 and had as many INTs as he had TDs on a far healthier team than Rattler had to work with. It's not so different than us. What they are doing though is getting that gross contract of Cousins off their books so they can have a shot at building something around Penix before his rookie deal is up. And I'm not saying Rattler is the guy, but he also hasn't proven to NOT be the guy. I think everyone knows Carr isn't the guy.

Sure, I like Rattler as a prospect quite a bit. Will Moore? The point is that the Falcons had already charted their future by drafting the next guy. Part of the process, if the Saints do move on from Carr, is going to be them feeling good about a plan to replace him.
