I understand and even agree with the logic, but that doesn't change what Gayle Benson said.

Gayle said she took fan displeasure and player feedback into account. And she said that she communicated with several players before she fired him. Maybe she wasn't telling the truth, but she said it.

I acknowledged that she said it. I didn't deny it. I think she only said the fans displeasure was taken into account when she fired DA for PR purposes. I don't think it's true. I don't know that it's not.

But, I do agree that they should not make decisions based on what fans want and clearly Loomis did not want to do that and I doubt Moore would do that either.

I think at the most she made the decision to fire DA based solely on what the players and staff told her, then after making the decision she thought "and the fans don't like him, so it's a win win."
