Saints hire Chase Haslett as Tight Ends coach, former Cowboys assistant & Jim Haslett’s son

This is notable, because attacking the MOF w/ Carr has been a question Underhill has asked since he compared Carr’s heat Map to Winston’s heat map.

Only problem was Carr didn’t actually fulfil that. He didn’t in Payton’s scheme and he didn’t in Kubiak.

On the flip side of that, Jalen hurts went through two playoff games while throwing maybe 3 passes to the MOF.

Kellen designed plays that attacked the sideline over and over and over again and they succeeded. If you chart the NFC championship games 0 of Hurts targets were thrown past 10 yards MOF.

Why? Because he’s not comfy doing it. Yet under Moore it didn’t hurt him in the least bit. That’s why I said imagine what Moore can do w/ a QB who can hit all levels of the field
I can attribute some of what the Eagles did to the fact that they had such a great running game with Barkley. Opposing defenses were really concentrating on stopping the run and in turn there were a lot more 2nd level defenders concentrated in the middle of the field. For much of the season Hurts wasn't throwing much and in the playoffs, averaging low 20s in pass attempts and taking advantage of his own run game.

Moore won't have that option here immediately because of our O line play that saw the pocket collapsing from the middle and not getting nearly as many rushing yards up the middle as Philly was getting. Which was forcing the QB to roll out and find his targets and more rushes around the edge. Obviously we're going to draft some new talent and hope to fix that, but who knows what it's going to look like at this point. I really do miss the TE play we had when Drew was here.
