Ashton Jeanty or Tyler Warren?

A big reason Hock went top 10 is because he was one of the most polished all around TEs to come out in a long time. He showed in college he could be a true TE and receiver at a high level. Warren's much more proven as a receiver and also a capable blocker. Not to say he isn't good as a blocker, but his size is probably doing him more favors than what he did in college.

I know he's a fan favorite on here, but Jeanty truly is a special player. I'd say Bijan had a better case coming out simply because he was called on to do a lot more at Texas than Jeanty did at Boise. Bijan rushed, caught, and blocked at Texas at a high level and all you had to do was watch the games. When I saw all the mocks that had him falling to the 20's in that draft I scoffed. He was always a top 10 guy that maybe could've fell to mid round.

Jeanty is the same type of talent. There isn't much more he could've proved as a rusher. And watching every Boise game that was televised here, he was a significant factor in pass blocking for that team this year. Only "question mark", if you can call it that is his receiving ability. He just wasn't put in the position to catch many balls, but when he did he always looked pretty sure handed and showed what he could do in space.

Warren would be a nice pick to me, even at 9. But both available, assuming higher value players aren't available, Jeanty's gotta be the guy between the two.

I don't think there is a question about his receiving ability. In 2023 he had 43rec for 569 yards and 5 TDs, that's 47 yards per game receiving.

He was going for a the rushing record this season, it made sense to just have him run the ball and go for the record.
