Kellen Moore's Saints Coaching Staff Brings Back Joel Thomas For Running Back Room

Another familiar name returns to New Orleans.

The New Orleans Saints have another reunion.
According to a Tuesday morning report by NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the Saints are hiring Joel Thomas to be their running backs coach. This makes the third hire for new head coach Kellen Moore and the second former coach to return to New Orleans.
Thomas was with the Saints from 2015-2023 and spent last season with the New York Giants. New Orleans went with Derrick Foster last year, but he went to the Dallas Cowboys in the offseason. Thomas has obviously worked with Alvin Kamara in the past, so this is a potentially good pairing. He's a very smart coach who got an additional opportunity at the Senior Bowl as an offensive coordinator. ...
