That said Nuss is poised for a breakout year this season. You can see it just under the surface. Early on he was too cocky for his own good. He took too many chances and got burned peaking in that Alabama game after that he seemed more poised under pressure and started to learn the valuable lesson of throw it away and live to fight another day (probably one of the hardest things for a QB to learn).

If he can keep his head on right this season there is no reason he shouldn’t blow up like Burrow and Daniels did.

I would love to end up with him in the black and gold if for nothing so I can blame my wife when we loose. Seriously he would be a fine NFL QB I wouldn’t go burning up draft capital to get him but if he fell to wherever we would be picking and we are still needing a QB, I would be completely fine with that pick.

I agree. You could see Nuss on the borderline break through to be extremely good. He would "throw receivers open" and that is an extremely rare commodity in college passing games. The last QB I saw do that in college was Burrow.

Yes, Nuss made several bad plays. But you also have to remember he really didn't have a lot of talent to work with at WR. His best WR was Lacy who was "meh". I don't care what any LSU fan says, Lacy was terribly overrated. He struggled to get open a lot against zones and very rarely found the soft spot. On top of that he struggled with contested catches. Sometimes he would made a great play against a contested catch and sometimes he looked simply looked confused. Nuss, unlike any other QB in this draft projected to go in the first 3 rounds, didn't have a 1st round NFL talent, nor even a 2nd round NFL talent. I think his best reciever who happens to be Lacy would've likely ended up drafted in the 3rd or 4th round. But now it's all guess work due to his legal issues. It's possible he's not drafted till the 6th or worse.

Nuss would've looked much better if he had say T-Mac, Tyler Warren, Matthew Golden or Luther Burden.
