I have 3 children that all played sports from 5 years old through college.
I coached all 3 at different times & on different levels.
I've been on both sides of this situation.

Some parents are harder on their children & some aren't...
But this isn't the issue. The issue is that having an OC & his son as QB will result in a divided locker room.
