32-Team First-Round Mock Draft: Saints Take Ashton Jeanty at 9, Abdul Carter Goes to Cleveland

I have felt that way for a long time. Under Payton our 1st round picks were meh overall. Yes, we got Cam Jordan and Ingram (both in the same draft if you can believe that), but we also have taken Payton, Ruiz, Davenport, Meachem, Stephone Anthony.

Oddly enough, at first glance it appears to have gotten with DA in terms of capability but we've consistently seen the player drafted be only half of a complete player. Olave, concussions and questionable hustle, Bresee who is a top pass rushing DT but can't stop the run to save his life, Penning who is really good at run blocking but struggles a lot in pass blocking and the jury is still out on Fuaga.

No idea what Moore will bring but I am excited to find out.
Don't forget about Reg in Sean's first year. The FO hit on a lot of guys in those first few years but that fell apart after we won a ring. The issue we seem to have is we keep missing on the mid first round players and when we try to reach it goes bad (Davenport). and there were times we should have moved up but didn't (Mahomes). Latt was a solid pick, and Olave was as well, but we have bad luck there.

Mick is not going anywhere, and that's my issue. Two failed GMs don't make me feel better. I know everyone is currently caught up in optimism about our new HC, but we still have serious FO concerns.
