Not rain on anyone’s parade but I’ve watched every Saints draft since Loomis was promoted from Randy Mueller’s salary cap guru to General Manager and I’m pretty sure under his leadership the Saints have never traded down in the first round. If anything he’s far more likely to trade up to get the player he’s targeted. Not saying it can never happen but it’s highly unlikely given Loomis’ history.
