The ramifications of this "threat" and the fallout will be historic. Boiled down to its simplist terms, we know who the good guys and the bad guys in this situation are. We know who provoked the war and who has been committing horrendous war crimes. The messaging from the WH is total fabrication. But to what end is it seaking? Siding with the evil empire is bad enough, but that empire is now severely crippled militarily and economically. We're not even benefitting in any way by moving to the dark side.
Congress needs to grow a pair and step in, but the only ones that had a spine are not in office.
It's being brushed off as hyperbole, but we are truly witnessing the unravelling of our democracy. It was a good 250 run. I always thought our system was too good to collapse.
