But, yeah, Sports Science is kind of a new term but it's also a kind of a new position. They used to just have Strength and Conditioning coaches, but I that mostly was mostly just lifting weights and staying in shape with the Athletic Trainers doing the stretching and treatment stuff. Sports Science guys tend to also do things involving player nutrition, injury prevention, muscle balance, etc. I think these days you often have the Athletic Trainers and Strength and Conditioning guys working under the Sports Science Director that runs the entire program including nutrition, stretching, injury prevention, injury recovery, etc. And I think the Director of Sports Science probably works in tandem with the team doctors.
