• is 31 years old, entering season 11
• has a 36-51 career record as a starter (I do not believe wins are a QB stat, but enough people do to make it worth citing), high-water mark of 9-7
• has had one season earning over $20M, which was his fifth-year rookie deal option of $20.9M
• would expect to be paid like a starting NFL QB here if the guy he once backed up is released, so let go of those “he’ll be cheap!” $5M contract dreams y’all are having, it’s disrespectful at this point, loving a guy yet never wanting him to get paid is weird
• will not be benefitting from Sean Payton’s coaching
• in 2024: 61.1% completions rate, 2121 yards, 13/12 TD/INT, 6.22 AY/A, 80.6 rating, 55.6 QBR (every single Derek Carr 2024 stat is better)
