I can safely say with certainty you wouldn't like having to endure those brutal, vicious and grinding winters many living in Upper Midwest states like Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Dakotas have to endure on an annual basis. The blizzards, extreme wind chills and lows that sometimes tip as low as -15-20° in more rural, less populated areas like western Minnesota are very different in tempo, extremities then what winters are like in New England and Northeast.

I do agree with you about how with New Orleans' proximity being so far below sea level that during winter months, wind chills make a 34° low feel like its °15 degrees. I've walked so many times through downtown New Orleans near the Riverwalk and Lake Ponchatrain in December-February in the mornings and the temps were usually °40 but the wind chills made those brisk, blustering winds feel like it was °14 degrees and the gusts were so strong, it almost felt like the wind went right through you.
