It's not about adding another RB. It's about adding a once in 5 year talent. You're not getting comparable value by passing on generational talent, LOL.
Sometimes in the draft a player is just too good to pass by. In hindsight, nobody blames the Bengals for taking Ja'Marr Chase when they needed OL help. Chase is a generational talent. When that falls in your lap you take them. If the Bengals took some guard then a WR in the next round, it wouldn't be the same as having Ja'Marr freaking Chase. That math doesn't work. Which is why thinking about artificial needs only clouds the picture when drafting. Teams start making decisions that defy logic. "Let me pass on the best looking RB in 6 years falling in my lap because I've been planning to address the line with a high draft pick since February."
