This draft is super hard to predict early compared to most drafts. This is mostly because of Sanders and Travis Hunter. Sanders was just simply not a good QB at all. Yet he has all the physical tools. But let's not forget, BYU, K-State and KU really caused him problems, and they are just very bad teams (mostly KU and KState). IDC what any ding dong talking head says. Good QB's in college worthy of a top 10 pick won't lose to the likes of KU and K-State.
Travis Hunter is also an anomaly. He wasn't a great WR. He also wasn't a great CB. He was both, and "just" very good at both. But in the NFL doing both isn't going to work. Every single player, especially rookies struggle to play a full season and keep their bodies fresh. Even vets struggle with it. Playing both positions is just simply pre-destined for failure. That's not even accounting for injuries. A lot of player struggle to stay healthy a full season at one position, but two seems also like a fantasy. And let's also not forget, he struggled at both positions against literally some of the worst teams in college. (it's still completely weird that Colorado was even ranked).
Yet, there are people in the GM position and owners box that get stupid excited over shiny new toys and the marketing that can be worked with it. So while I don't think either Travis Hunter nor (especially Sanders) should be top 10, I wouldn't be shocked if someone like the Raiders took a stab at Sanders.
This is of course going to be wrong, but if I had to guess I would suspect something like :
1. Titans - Tetairoa McMillan
2. Browns - Cam Ward
3. Gaints - Jaxson Dart (Ward and Dart may end up being switched if Dart puts up better combine numbers)
4. Patriots - Aston Jeanty
5. Jaguars - Abdul Carter
6. Raiders - Sheduer Sanders
7. Jets - Mason Graham
8. Panthers - Tyler Warren
9. Saints - Will Campbell, Kenneth Grant or Travis Hunter (personally believing more likely to be Campbell) ( I would personally prefer us to walk away with Jeanty, Warren or Dart if they don't plan on targeting Nuss in next years draft).
On top of that I expect the Cowboys to try and trade up to make a play on Jeanty, and the Dolphins and Niners to try and leap frog Carolina for Warren. The Jaguars could potentially go Will Campbell which would shake up the rest of everything but I don't think Mason Graham and Abdul Carter will slip to us. In honest, it's hard for me to have Cam Ward put in the top 5 and Sanders in the top 10 but I suspect there will be desperation picks (and I don't think it'll work out for whoever takes em). Pete Carroll is a really good coach, but I don't believe even he can make Sanders a top 10 QB. Maybe, just maybe a top 20 if he works lots of magic. The Browns shouldn't even pick a QB and just get a better Oline by taking Campbell while looking to next years draft full of good QB's to pick from, but they're notorious for dropping the ball when it comes to QB's and forcing that position.
So, this is how I think it *should* play out.
1. Titans - Tetairoa McMillan
2. Browns - Jaxson Dart
3. Gaints - Abdul Carter
4. Patriots - Aston Jeanty
5. Jaguars - Will Campbell
6. Raiders - Cam Ward
7. Jets - Mason Graham
8. Panthers - Tyler Warren
9. Saints - Kenneth Grant, Luther Burden III, Tyler Booker, Kevin Banks or Travis Hunter (he'll play WR here some in the slot which bothers me because Luther Burden III is a much better WR)
