Shedeur Sanders will not work out for teams at combine
I really don't get the hype with this dude. If his last name wasn't Sanders, he would not even be considered a first-round pick let alone top 2 pick IMO.
Jaxson Dart has a very good opportunity to further showcase what he can do while at the combine. He will jump into the top 10 if he has a successful time there.
I kind of do and kind of don't as well. It's mostly media hype from Prime Time coaching Colorado and his son being the starting QB. In truth, its dumbfounding that Colorado even finished the season ranked and was nothing short of favoritism. They lost to KU AND KState. Those two games alone should've knocked them out of the rankings for the entire season. Throw in the loss to Nebraska, and its only much worse and more apparently favoritism.
On top of that, if you watch those two games, Sanders looked like raw butt cheeks. Almost as if he "was too good for these teams" yet ends up losing. He didn't look great either. 2019 LSU or any Saban year led Alabama team would've decimated all 3 of those teams and made em look like high school teams.
Also, if you look around and do some digging, you find out that a lot of teams aren't buying into the hype and some (maybe even many) don't even have a first round grade on Sanders. In that aspect, it appears the hype may be mostly media driven.
If you don't believe it, and think he is great. good for you. I just remember watching those games (my wife is an avid KU fan and celebrated when they beat Colorado), and Sanders was dog water. If he truly was a NFL caliber starting QB he would've utterly dismantled Nebraska, KU and KState. But he didn't. He got by and still lost.
Keep in mind. KU, KState and Nebraska have some Day 3 talent and are utterly swamped in UDFA talent that would get cut in training camp. And I'm expected to believe a QB that not only fails to dominate them but loses to them, is supposed to find success in the NFL?
