Let's all hope he can put a respectable (hopefully dominant) defense on the field. It might take a year or 2 because he doesn't have the pieces.

Yeah, not sure why you read so deeply into that. A successful tenure as a head coach means he's likely still a head coach. Perhaps the word unsuccessful would have been more to your taste, regardless it wasn't meant other than the actual definition for failure
