Exactly. I've posted numerous examples of mocks where we can take Jeanty at 1.9 and address the other Offensive and Defensive line positions with the other picks. OT is not a need anymore with Fuaga and Penning holding down LT and RT. LG and and upgrade at RG are needed and those positions can be drafted later since the draft is deep at OG and even OTs who will move to OG. I think Becton might be an option in FA. Moore will need a player to two to help install his offense, signing Becton for an upgrade at RG would work, if we don't do that, I like the OT Belton out of NC State for either RG or LG. Dude is massive with the heaviest hands in the draft, guys fall to the ground when he puts hands on them. NT is a huge need, but there are 3 to 4 in the draft that would work and someone posted about Jevon Kinlaw a day or two as a FA option, and he'd be an affordable NT option to sign via FA. Yes, teams absolutely are built from the inside out and the trenches is where games are won and lost, but you don't have to spend your highest draft capital there and overdraft positions. Also, it doesn't matter if you win the trenches, but you stroll out a RB who runs a 4.6 and once he gets passed the trenches he gets caught from behind by a LB coming across the field. Speed and Playmakers matter and Jeanty is both.
The argument about us being set at RB is weak. AK is going into his age 30 season, he doesn't finish seasons healthy and can't be counted on down the stretch. Miller seems to have some juice when healthy, but he hasn't proven to stay healthy. CEH is talented, but also hasn't proven to stay healthy and has his own issues to deal with which hopefully he can, but that's not a given. Now add Jeanty to that RB room and it is instantly one of the best in the NFL. Jeanty would be RB1A and the bellcow, AK would be RB1B and the offensive weapon, Miller would be Jeanty's direct backup as his running style is simiiar whereas CEH would be AK's direct backup. There is so much CKM could do with a RB room like that.
Sign Becton or draft Belton and plug one in at RG.
Sign Becton and draft Belton and plug one in at RG and the other at LG.
Using 1.9 on Jeanty and 93 or 110 on Belton while signing Becton in FA makes this our projected O-line.
O-line:
LT: Fuaga
LG: Belton
C: McCoy
RG: Becton
RT: Penning
Adding Jeanty to the scenario above and this is our RB room:
RB1A: Jeanty
RB1B: AK
RB2: Miller
RB3: CEH
CKM can work with that and we'd go from being bullied to being the Bully.
