I don't think letting go of Carr would automatically equal a rebuild. It wasn't a rebuild when they got him, so they could move on from him without it being a rebuild. Then again, rebuild is a very subjective term that looks different to different people.

I think you're mistaking "rebuilding" for "tanking". Replacing the most important position in football is a rebuild move without a groomed replacement till it isn't. They'll try to be competitive, but the cap crunch will probably be difficult. I don't think they'll get the 1st overall pick.
