Agreed, the issue this creates however is you’re never putting yourself in the position to be the top or near the top of the draft to get one of the top QBs of that class. So if Carr Plays 15-17 games this year we’re going to have a pick as best as 12-14 in my opinion. What that means is come 2026 even when we move on from him, our cap will be better and we will be in a position to where we can actually spend a little money in free agency, the problem is we will not have our quarterback. And we will not be in a position to draft one especially after beefing up the roster in free agency 2026. I totally understand the cap implications and it makes sense financially to keep him until next year, but for the future of the roster construction, it does create a bit of a conundrum.
