People say sheet all the time that they go back on. Nobody even asked him about a pay cut. He volunteered the information. That sounds a lot like a negotiation strategy to limit the amount of pay cut you will accept if you hear the right things.

Because the man said it himself he wouldn’t not even entertain that idea.

You’re saying he was not asked any question when he stated the above. It was just him and a reporter staring at eachother and he just volunteered this info??
