Ross Jackson’s biggest takeaways from Loomis, Moore and Ireland at the combine

I think a lot of people assume that if we get rid of Carr that we are on the path to finding a franchise QB, but it’s not that easy at all. You can stay in QB hell a really long time. You can invest top 5 pick in a QB and find out he’s a bust 2 years later. That’s 3 years down the drain, and probably enough to get a coach fired. Now you’re “rebuilding” again.

It’s fun to think about rebuilding, but it’s not a bad thing to have a bridge QB to give you some stability until you find a replacement.
Exactly. How do we know what restructuring means without meaning any terms. What if removing then no-trade (unless agreed upon) clause is part of the restructure? What if it becomes a more incentive-based contract that could open the door for a true Carr-Rattler preseason showdown? What does restructuring really mean (until it happens and we know)? If Moore and Carr and both good with the beginnings of a plan (and it sounds like they might be), then I am, too. Let’s wait and see what happens before making judgements on complete unknowns at this point.
