Unlike last year, there is no given top-tier QB in this draft. Don’t be surprised if the best QB to come from this draft (if there is one) ends up being drafted in the third round or later. I just don’t see any sure-thing QB this draft and we don’t have any draft capital to waste at this point.

For sure there is no sure thing at QB in this draft or in any draft for that matter. Keeping Carr around another season or two allows us to draft BPA instead of reaching for a QB we may not even be that high on but feel compelled to take just because we’re desperate.
