Underhill thinks Carr will be Saints starter [mod edit: Moore-Carr meeting went well; Saints plan is to keep Carr in 2025 & figure out contract]

Yeah a restructure aka further kicking the can down the road.

Taking someone at their word is not arguing semantics. Do players change their mind? Yes, but more often than not they’re truthful, is that so hard to grasp :::gasp::::

Fans need to be a little more realistic and less blind loyalty. Organizations do make mistakes and everything they do isn’t a good move and it’s ok to point that out. It’s 2025 and we have a brand new head coach when we had a brand new head coach in 2023.

And also you can chill out with the not getting what I want BS. I said it in this thread today and several other threads the past couple of weeks that strictly from a cap perspective it’s better to keep him this year and cut him in 2026. But when someone says oh let’s hold out 10% hope that he’ll do this one thing he emphatically said he’s not going to do, sorry but I have a right to say hey that’s a little silly huh.

What if restructuring could mean making the contract more incentive-based (which shouldn’t bother Carr if he’s confident in himself) and removes the no-trade clause to set up a true Carr vs. Rattler that could allow us to trade Carr should Rattler win. If Carr is confident, he shouldn’t be worried. Point being, we have no idea what another restructure could/would mean? Are we sure it HAS to mean kicking the can down the road, or could it mean setting things up to give Carr and Moore the chance to see how well they can work together or make it easier (and hopefully less painful) to let Carr try somewhere else?
