Agreed. I believe this is exactly what we’re doing, too. Carr is literally our version of Russell Wilson. Let it play out & see where we’re drafting in 26. Carr will do what he’s done every single year of his career & that’s keystone cop his teams to a .500 or so season. But, after a year of that dookie show, we can dump Carr & start our search for our future QB1.
What’s more, is 26 & 27 look like they’ll be loaded w/super athletes at the position. True modern day NFL QB1s will be on deck. Im pretty sure this fact isnt lost on the Saints & they know who’s going to be coming out in the next few drafts.
All this stuff just sounds like things youre supposed to say going into a new season w/a new regime. It is like Sean Payton did year 1 in Denver. Play nice & play the hand your dealt, but if/when the it goes off the rails, it’ll be easier to move on & forward from Cart & allow Moore to find his QB1, a la Nix w/Payton.
